Before heading out the door to go to the gym this morning, I peaked my head into the apartment mail room to find something very special dangling from my post box.
I literally squealed with excitement and started jumping up and down as I ripped open the package to find this…
The old ladies in the mail room were probably already confused, what with my wild behavior, but their confusion likely grew even deeper when they saw that I was so excited over a book.
Not any book. A book about a movement that has inspired and uplifted people around the world. A book that I ordered months ago and have been waiting very somewhat patiently for. Operation Beautiful is finally mine! Caitlin, your book is here, all the way in Germany!
Here I am, feeling as beautiful as ever. Post work-out, no make-up and loving myself, just the way God made me.
I started reading the book while waiting for my bus. By page 16, I had to put it away. Crying on a public bus only makes the other passengers uncomfortable.
I had a wonderful workout at my favorite Saturday morning Body Balance class. The class always makes me feel so strong and capable.
After living her for over 2 years and getting a grip on the language, I finally feel ready to start leaving Operation Beautiful notes at the gym. German, don’t fail me now!
While unpacking my gym bag I pulled out my current book along with my new Operation Beautiful book and realized something very coincidental.
Spot it?
Both books are written by a Boyle. Both also inspire a change of thought and global action. Coincidence, I think not.
I couldn’t be more excited to finally have Operation Beautiful, the book. I am so proud of Caitlin and can’t wait to share her message with as many people as possible.
Hey sissy, I understand that, new book is about living naturally. I couldn’t agree more. I remember the first time I met you, all wrinkly and bloody! I thought to my self, I have never seen a more beautiful woman. (well with the exception of your mother, and maybe, Sophia Lorenz) That hasn’t changed…You look just beautiful in that photo….Apparently it has been a long time since I have seen a close up photo of you. I can’t believe how long your hair has gotten. I realy loved the way you looked with your hair bobbed! I would love to see it again!…..love you Dad
Thanks Dad! When I finish the Moneyless Man Book, I’ll send it to you because I think you’ll really like it. I’m liking my longer hair but do think about cutting it short again. Maybe next Spring. I’d really like to get another Locks of Love donation out of this hair growth. Love you!
Hmm, do you think they are related??? They both seem rather shy on their book covers. I will have to see if Prairie Creek can get that book. You look Mah va lous by the way not at all hot and sweaty like you should after just coming from the gym…are you sure you are working out hard enough??? Just teasing. Love ya, Mom
Kendel,
I wanted to let you know that you totally turned me on to project beautiful now! I just bought the book and it should be here within 14 days! You always find the most wonderful things and I want to thank you for that! I’m going to start leaving notes for project beautiful! I hope it really starts taking off, what a wonderful thing to boost a womans self confidence! You look absolutely amazing in that picture, I can’t believe how naturally gorgeous you are… it just isn’t fair! I miss you lady and hope to see you soon! I love keeping up on your blog! Say “Hi” to Seb for me and enjoy life like you always do! <3 Christina
Woo hoo! Christina’s first comment on my blog. Now’s the time for celebration! I’m so glad you feel inspired by Operation Beautiful. It feels so good to leave post-its and trust that they will be found by someone who really needs the inspiration at that very moment. I’m glad you bought the book and are spreading the word. I seriously cry like a baby when I read it. Especially on the pages where one person wrote to Caitlin to tell about leaving a note and then the person who found the note wrote Caitlin to tell how she was inspired by it. Really cool to see the connection between strangers. Awesome. I’m also starting a new club this year at school which was inspired by the Operation Beautiful movement. I’m glad you’ve hopped on board with this one!
