It sure is hard to get back into it after having a week of rest, pampering, and traveling… but get back into the swing of things is just what I did today!
Up before the sun- check
Shower and put on teacher clothes- check
Eat a filling and fueling breakfast- check
Frozen smoothie from yesterday’s overload along with a fried egg with low-fat cheese and spinach between wheat bread.
Get to work on time- check (barely)
Teach my little heart out- check
Celebrate a student’s birthday with delicious chocolate swirl cake- check
Attend to another student who had an allergic reaction to the supposedly nut-free cake- check
Eat a killer spinach sandwich with mushrooms, tomato, and veggie burger- check
Share the photography love with eager students- check
Facilitate an impromptu discussion on sportsmanship after a rather vicious finger poking, you didn’t pass it to me, I was open, 9 year old girl fight- check
Tutor a mathematician magician- check
Hit up the gym for a strenuous 1 hour tai chi, yoga, pilates class- check
Feel strong, balanced, peaceful, and proud of my uniquely amazing body- check
Continue to peace out in the sauna- check
Eat a ready-in-10 dinner of veggie and raisin couscous, pollock, and garam masala spiced spinach- check
Say a little prayer for my colleague’s passed on cat as I unpack the unused goods- check
Bust this one who’s trying to taste test the high-end feline feast- check
Think about my dear friend and the wonderful time we had together in a freezing cold London apartment while reading this blog- check
Boil water for green tea and water bottle love- check
Treat myself to the last of my Lindt chocolates- check (I ate the beautifully wrapped one)
